It’s very easy to lose marks in an exam or test not because of a gap in your knowledge but because of careless mistakes. These often occur when working on the easier, more basic aspects of maths: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division. You may have put a lot of effort into the more complex part of a question, then when it comes to the final addition, you make an error. Throughout a paper, these errors can result in the loss of quite a few marks.
It’s important to know where you are likely to make these ‘silly’ mistakes and take care in double-checking your calculations.
There’s nothing more frustrating than losing marks on something you know how to do. Take action to prevent this happening.
